Here at SocSoc, your academic success is just as much a priority as your social life. We therefore run a whole host of academic events to ensure you always put your best put forward. Below is just an example of some of the fantastic events we put on just for you.

Mentoring Scheme

At the start of each academic year, our exec will match up each fresher with a 2nd or 3rd year student who will be on hand throughout the year to answer questions, give advice, and help in any way they can to ensure a smooth transition from sixth form to uni.

Revision Sessions

During the final term of the year, SocSoc hosts a Revision Session in which older students will run sessions on how to best succeed in your first year exams. From Time Management, to Note-Making, your fellow students will give you all you need to succeed. All you have to do to revise and rock up!

Academic Talks

Throughout the year, we host a series of talks from professors and professionals on a host of topics from whats hot in the news, to a professor's most recent research. Its a great chance to broaden your horizons and add some extra titbits to your work!
